Bought here a film camera in October 2023. Never had a good camera before, followed Nuno's advice on the model, and never regretted since then. Had many pleasant moments with the camera and getting more into film photography today. Would definitely recommend this place, while living in Porto (and admiring how beautiful the city is) I've explored several camera stores, but my heart left in this one.

What an incredible experience! Let me briefly share my story: I was initially capturing moments with my digital camera, but after a while, I mustered the courage to invest in a film camera. A friend recommended "Sitio do cano amarelo" to me, where I met Nuno, an exceptionally kind individual. He asked me a series of questions that greatly aided me in making my decision. Nuno showcased various cameras and took the time to explain their functionalities. After a three-hour conversation, I returned home, researched some camera reviews, and the following day, I made my way back to the store. Another two hours later, I left with a camera in hand. Nuno even offered me a 15-day trial period with the option for a refund, and an additional six months of insurance. Visiting that store turned out to be a fantastic decision!
I've been a customer of Cano Amarelo for a couple or three years now and it's a fabulous place. Nuno and the team are really knowledgeable about their stock and are always ready to help.
I get most of my cameras online, and shopping online is really easy and straightforward. The photos of the cameras and lenses are the ones that you get so it's really easy to see the condition of what you are buying. I have never had a bad experience and when the items are sent they're posted by registered mail and are beautifully packaged.
It's always worth bookmarking the website in your browser as odds are you'll find something that you want, whether it's a 35mm point and shoot or a top-notch professional camera.

An outstanding store in terms of stock, expertise, and service (or, more accurately, friendliness!). I visited as an amateur, with an eager interest in—but limited knowledge of—M42 lenses. I found a deep and varied selection of lenses, and a great willingness on the part of the staff to help me make an informed selection. The enthusiasm for and understanding of cameras and lenses in this store is truly remarkable. Highly recommended!

Went here for a analog film camera, went away with a Nikon 1.8 35mm lens. Great, patient service, and the owner(s) speaks English very well too. In the end a seller needs to benefit and needs to sell something, but the way he tries to inform objectively was really nice. Price for the lens was good, and some guarantee deal too included (6 months). The analog film camera was maybe a bit expensive compared to other places I have seen, but not surprised in these times: the prices will rise everywhere anyhow. Can recommend to go here, great help!
By one awesome random chance, I stumbled upon this store and it was the best camera store I had visited in Europe. Truly!! The people working there are so helpful and they have everything you can think of… or that I needed. Got an awesome vintage lens, some filters, and a day camera pack back and it felt reasonably prices. Go visit them if you are looking for treasures!
